English 11-1st Block Assignments

We will begin talking about writing persuasive essays today. The essay will be due on Wednesday but will only be graded on completion and proper format (5 paragraphs, thesis statement, conclusion, etc.). A rubric will be included in order to help you all formulate your essay properly and so you are able to see what you will be scored on when it is time to take the actual writing SOL.

We will be doing part 1 of the questions on Wednesday and part 2 on Thursday. The whole thing will be due by Friday as your virtual Friday work. If you are doing this at home and listening to the read aloud, part 1 of the questions stops at 28:11.

This will be done in class tomorrow (Tuesday 2/9). The more creative the better! Remember to use adjectives and adverbs to help bring the sentences to life.
