Prince George High School Senior Varsity Cheerleaders Show Appreciation for Teachers as Graduation Nears

May 6, 2024

As Prince George High School's graduation celebration approaches, the soon-to-be graduates are finding ways to thank the educators who have not only imparted knowledge but also left an indelible mark on their hearts during their educational journey.

Days before National Teacher Appreciation Week, senior members of the high school's varsity cheerleading squad selected a Prince George High School teacher who positively impacted their high school education. Once thoughtfully chosen, each teacher was gifted a t-shirt that says, "I'm a Difference Maker," and has their name printed on the back.

Varsity cheerleading coach Jennifer Carper hopes to make the act of kindness a new tradition for the Royals.

"It makes me feel so happy to see my seniors give teachers a gift of appreciation and recognize them for making an impact on their high school journey," Carper said. "I would like to carry on this tradition every year with future senior cheerleaders to show PGHS teachers how much they appreciated."

The senior members of the varsity cheerleading squad are as follows: Addison Harrell, Ansley Simmons, Audrey Norris, Brooke Reynolds, Cora Wilhite, Da'Nayjah Garrett, Destiny Jones, Kayla Custis, Kendall Denton, Lukara Spence, Nishe Castelle
