How a Remote Learning Day Works

  • Grades Pre-K-3: Students in these grades should complete their paper packets provided prior to leaving school on Tuesday. The students are expected to complete their packet and return it to their teacher upon completion once school reopens.
    • Teachers will hold office hours from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the remote learning day where they will be accessible via email to answer questions and provide support for students.
  • Grades 4-12: Students in these grades will complete the work they downloaded to their Chromebook while at school. Students will have to submit their completed remote learning day assignments within seven days to their teacher(s).
    • Teachers will be available virtually via Google Classroom to answer questions and provide support for students during the remote learning day from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

In addition, learning specialists, elementary (Pre-K-5) resource teachers, and school counselors will hold office hours from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the remote learning day where they will be accessible via email to answer questions and provide support for students.

Remote Learning Day Attendance

Parents are encouraged to ensure their child has completed their assignments to allow for them to be submitted to their teacher within seven (7) days for grading and attendance purposes. Once students return to their school, the submission of their completed assignments during the remote learning day will serve as their attendance for these days. Students who do not complete and submit their remote learning day(s) assignments within seven (7) days will be marked absent for those days.
