Good evening Prince George Families,
Out of an abundance of caution due to the rain-snow mix in our area now into the overnight hours , Prince George County Public Schools will operate on a TWO-HOUR DELAY on Monday, February 23, 2026.
This means pickup and the start of the school day for students will begin two hours later than normal. Due to this two-hour delay, breakfast will not be served.
Essential staff are to report on-time. All other staff should report two hours late.
NOTE: “Essential personnel” are all 12-month contracted personnel in the Maintenance, Custodial and Fleet Services departments.
Should conditions around our area deteriorate further overnight requiring changes to our opening status, we will let you know by 6 a.m. Monday.
